Getting Ready to Go!

As most who are close to us know, I am going to REALLY retire at the end of May. Seriously! I am!!

Anyway, that is to preface our preparations for our next big trip. We have been doing some things to/for the RV to make it a bit easier on us. The first big thing we did is have a 50 amp RV plug installed so that we can keep the RV plugged in down by the barn. That way it isn't blocking the back drive and isn't so obvious to anyone who happens to be driving by (like that ever happens out here!). Next, we will be having a second air conditioning unit installed. The RV was already wired for a second unit and the thermostat already installed.  All we have to do is determine what we need to purchase and decide where to get the work done. We purchased a screen for the front window that will block some of the heat and light when we are parked but still allow us (Beau, really) to see out. Other than that, we are ready to head out.

We have a short trip planned in May. Going to Winstar for the Doobie Brothers concert and decided to stay for a couple of nights. Then in June we are heading out and will be gone most of the month. We are heading to Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore, Sturgis, the Bad Lands, the Grand Tetons and whatever else we find to do/see along the way. All we have to do is throw some groceries in the RV along with some clothes and off we go. I'm excited to take my new camera and see what kind of pictures I end up with. Oh, heck, I'm just excited period and can't wait to pull out of the drive.
