Ready for Spring Break!

I was in no hurry to post about our last trip to Winstar because, truthfully, there wasn't much to tell. We went up with Ryan and Rich to do a little gambling and go to the Diana Ross concert.

Upon arrival at the casino we immediately went to the new El Fenix for dinner. That may have been the highlight of the trip! The food was fast, hot, plentiful and delicious! The margaritas were pretty good, too! After dinner we had an a couple of hours to gamble. I couldn't win anything to save my life. No biggy though. I was having fun. After a while I found Ryan and Rich. They were up about $500 by that point! Some people have all the luck! I watched them play, and win, for a bit. I put $20 in the same machine and played until I was up $50 and then lost it all. I walked away only to receive a text a few minutes later saying that Richard has just won another $250 ON THE SAME MACHINE!!!

We attended the Diana Ross concert...about an hour and 15 minutes long. During that time she had FIVE wardrobe changes. It was seriously annoying. One dress only made it through one and a half songs! Seriously?? Her voice was still beautiful, though. What a shame that the idiot sitting next to me had to talk to her friend for about 90% of the concert. No, I'm not joking or exaggerating. People, including me, would glare at the two of them to no avail. Finally a devotee of the lovely Ms. Ross actually turned around in his chair and shushed them. Only then, with maybe two songs left, did they decide to shut up and listen to the music.

After the concert we found the boys (back at "their" machine) and headed for home.  We all had a good time and are ready to do it again.

And "again" is just around the corner. Ronnie and I are scheduled to head out to Caddo Lake State Park in the RV for spring break. Our campsite is fairly close to Shreveport...home to various casinos with which we are moderately familiar. Hmmmm...more fun around the corner! I'll let you know how that goes! Till then...

~Cheers!
