Day 5: They Paved Paradise and Put Up a Parking Lot!

Crazy night and day!! First, I hardly slept because I was having this mysterious tummy ache! My stomach would randomly hurt and then quit and then hurt again! Weirdness! But more about that later.

We awoke early enough, took care of some business and decided to visit the casino where we are staying…Sam’s Town. We walked next door and then spent several hours in the casino. I pretty much broke even for the day and was quite happy to quit and return to the RV. We had plans to meet the boys for dinner and the Fremont Street Experience at 6:00. We came back in time to rest a bit and then drove over to pick up the boys. Ryan drove us to Fremont Street where we walked the Fremont Strip and then went to Tony Romo’s for dinner. I need to say that as the evening progressed, so did my tummy troubles. The pain was becoming more intense with the passing of time. I thought it would go away...Lol!

We went into Four Queens Casino and the four of us sat down at a Blackjack table. The dealers were friendly and we had a great time playing at “the family table.” Much of the time it was just the four us. I came away up $140 which was great because I had already lost $100 elsewhere. After 4 or 5 hours on Fremont Street we were all exhausted and headed “home” for the night. We dropped the boys off and then Ronnie headed the car toward our RV. About half way through our 10 minute drive I got a knifing pain in my stomach. Very strong! Very intense! Instantly made me nauseous. Ronnie quickly pulled over into a parking lot where I proceeded to throw up for 5 minutes of so. Afterwards, I was weak, exhausted and ready for a shower and bed.

Back at the RV and a quick shower later I fell into bed and slept the sleep of the dead.
Was my day ruined? Not on your life! This is Vegas, baby. You gotta role with the flow here!  Hey…at least I’m not the person who has to clean that parking lot!!!
