Day 9: San Diego Bound

We attempted to sleep in this morning, but the sun came up, Beau had to go outside, other campers were making noise as they packed up and pulled out, so we got up, disconnected from our site, ate breakfast and were on the road by 9:30.
Our Vegas Campground

Ronnie drove the first leg our journey toward San Diego. I sat in the passenger seat, awed by the change in landscape and snapping pictures of these things I think they call "mountains." Beautiful! We remarked about the flat desert landscape and then all of the sudden there was an outlet mall and two big casinos right in the middle of...nowhere! We later determined that had to be the Nevada/California state line because the next thing we knew we were in Nipton, California. Hmmmm...

Ronnie drove us almost to Riverside where we stopped and ate lunch and let Beau go potty again. Then I took over the driving and took us the rest of the way to our campsite at Mission Bay RV Park in San Diego, California. Beautiful scenery!! Noticeable change in the temperature!!

Once we got set up in our new campsite we took Beau and went for a walk on the beach in the bay. The water was rather cool but that didn't keep Beau out of it. Of course, he couldn't go in very far because he's kinda short and it would be over his head! Lol

After our walk to check out the terrain we returned to the RV, set up the awning and got out the games. We sat at the picnic table playing Racko until the streetlights came on and then we went indoors. Another day done. Looking forward to what tomorrow brings as this vacation winds down.
