Day 7: June 13, 2013

Today started off COLD with heavy rain and high winds. We really thought it might be a crappy day. However, it turned out to be one of the best days of our vacation so far. We stopped off at the General Store at our campgrounds and it is huge and has tons of neat stuff. Then we decided to take the south loop through Yellowstone since the rain had stopped and the sun had come out.  What an incredible time! We saw geysers (steaming, bubbling AND erupting), deer, elk, buffalo, cascades and waterfalls. By the end of the day my photo count is 1105! Of course, I haven't edited or discarded any yet, but it is beginning to look like I will have a full time job culling through all the pictures we take on this trip. Just as we were going to bed the rain set in again and I finally fell asleep to the sound of rain pinging off the roof.
