Our final leg of this journey. We left Vernon, TX this morning facing about a four hour drive home. Believe it or not, we've already begun talking about our next vacation(s)...where and how we will go. I think I'm going to LOVE this thing called retirement! We have tentative plans for a vacay in late November or early December and another in May. In between we will sprinkle in short RV trips just to keep in the traveling frame of mind!
In the meantime, I'm sure that while we have been gone the normal things we would have done (i.e., watering and mowing the yard, edging the sidewalks, keeping the shrubs trimmed, etc.) are needing lots of attention. Then there's the laundry, cleaning the inside of the RV, washing the outside of the RV...and the list goes on. One of the biggies will be editing the 2,500+ pictures that were taken on our jaunt through Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico!
To sum up this trip...we live in a nation filled with beauty and wonder. Some of those are easier to get to than others, but it's worth the effort. We took some long hikes, climbed up and down some almost vertical slopes, went horseback riding, white-water rafted, ate at some amazing restaurants, and were exhausted at the end of the day, but we experienced and captured some amazing sights and memories!
Thank you for sharing your trip! Beautiful pictures!
