Day 17: June 23, 2013

Last night we made the decision...and the reservations...for 2 nights in Santa Fe, New Mexico. That will put us in NM on Sunday and Monday nights. From there we will drive to somewhere around Amarillo and spend the night there Tuesday night. We should be able to make it home by Wednesday afternoon. It has been a great trip and neither of us is ready for it to end, but as the saying goes, "All good things must come to and end." So must this vacation.

When we got to the place where we had reservations in NM...they had no water. Since you kinda need water for baths, the toilet, etc., we elected to stay elsewhere. We found, upon their recommendation, another RV park that was even nicer and had better amenities. So. Hung up our shingle at Santa Fe Skies RV Park for two nights. After a day of driving we were glad to find a parking place to call home. After resting a bit we went to a restaurant called Blue Corn Cafe and Microbrewery. Delicious food and so-so margaritas. Back to the RV for showers and bed and dreams of what tomorrow brings.
